Thank you for coming to the Dockside Coffee House, a public place for me to host my projects and ideas! I am a little slow to update these things, but the blog is updated regularly so go check it out. Click here to get back to neocities when you're done looking around!
What does it actually mean when I say I want to "become more human"? Well, as myself and many others have started to notice, our society is plagued by the pitfalls of modern social media. I could do a whole "old man yells at cloud" thing here, but instead, I am choosing to improve myself, starting with removing a large portion of my internet presence. Obviously, this website is contradictory to that, but this is a space where I can fully control what goes on, there is not an algorithm to please, no one is trying to sell me AI slop, it's just my personal curated space where I can share pieces of my life. I have become very disillusioned with the functions of our social and political structures, especially speaking as an American. We were never meant to be bombarded with war footage intermingled with ads for fast fashion at 7 am, it's unnatural. So, in the midst of my rambling, I ask you to join me. Grab a coffee and be a human for a while, and remember that there is a whole beautiful world out there.
HI! I'm Louis, a 21 y/o from the eastern US. I have recently discovered the IndieWeb movement as a part of my quest to become "more human", so I decided to create my own site. This is actually something that I have wanted to do for a long time, but never had the resources or motivation to start. My goal is to hold myself accountable for my more physical hobbies, and to stay off the evil sides of the internet (inst*gram, etc.)
I have also wanted to get into penpalling as a way to make more friends, practice my writing, and possibly collect cool personal items! If that sounds interesting to you, feel free to contact me.
